To the Hughes family. Lessie was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Oxford Chapter #94 for 24 years. April of 2018 would have been her 25th anniversary. She and James were Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron during the years of 1997 and 2000. We visited Lessie many times at not only Brantwood but also at Coventry House Inn as well as her home in Oxford and Stovall. I remember visiting her at her home and she would bring out her OES Scrapbook and we would reminisce about her years as Worthy Matron. May she now rest in peace. Star love, Vivian Oney, Secretary at Oxford #94

To the Hughes Family: What a wonderful individual your Mother was. The many years she lived in the community with my family and how much Wade, my brother loved her and all of the boys. (like a mother to him after our Mom and Dad died). Our prayers and thoughts are with your family during this time. You now have all of those memories that you will re-call each day of your life. Love to you from your friends in Roxboro, NC.
